Creative Writing

I’ve loved writing creatively for as long as I can remember. My fascination with writing, reading, and publishing began at age five, filling blank hardback books with short stories and doodles, imagining what it might feel like to see my name on a real spine someday. By twelve, I was tackling my first novel—an ambitious, messy draft that sparked a lifelong passion for creating worlds, characters, and narratives that linger with readers. At thirteen and fourteen, I had the opportunity to participate in two book signings for a middle-school-authored series I contributed to, fueling my excitement for the day my stories could become real.

I minored in Creative Writing at Villanova University, where I had the privilege of learning from published novelists who helped me shape my writing goals and craft through workshop courses and literary analysis. I also studied abroad at the prestigious Seamus Heaney Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland, immersing myself in a vibrant literary community and exploring new perspectives. Below, you’ll find a list of my coursework and a live reading of a piece I wrote during my time in Northern Ireland.

While I share my professional work across this site, my creative writing samples and manuscripts are available upon request. If you’d like to talk about writing, have a relevant opportunity, or are interested in collaborating, I’d love to connect.

I’m sharing the personal statement from my MFA applications as context for why I write and how storytelling has shaped my life:

A poem of mine titled “umbrella boy” is published in this anthology.

A poem of mine titled “january” is published in this anthology, and was named “grand winner” of the collection.
