My work focused on three core areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Chalkboard<\/em>,<\/strong> the award-winning internal newsletter that blends essential scientific information with creative storytelling to engage staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3 Big Things,<\/strong> concise, high-impact updates on cardiovascular-related topics distributed across internal channels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Designing internal and external resources<\/strong>, including slide decks, infographics, and flyers, using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During my time in this role, I was honored to be recognized on <strong>Yello and WayUp\u2019s 2024 list of the Top 100 Interns in the U.S.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond content creation, I collaborated across our national and regional teams to ensure all materials were scientifically accurate, visually compelling, and mission-driven. This experience deepened my ability to <strong>translate complex information into accessible communication<\/strong> and strengthened my skills in <strong>research, synthesis, and strategic storytelling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also gained hands-on experience in nonprofit communications through campaigns such as <strong><em>Life is Why<\/em><\/strong>, conducting interviews and writing feature stories spotlighting partnerships with <strong>CEFCO, The UPS Store, and Weis Market<\/strong>s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All materials were created by me while employed at the AHA
